These two vowed to love each other forever at Alpen Way Chalet in Evergreen, Colorado. After years of being a family, Paul and Casey tied the knot in front of their closest friends and family in the Summer of 2020. Minutes away from Evergreen Lake, which is less than 1 hour from Denver, this venue made for a perfect rustic mountain wedding.
Paul and Casey each other when they were both the “DD” (designated drivers) for a group of their friends. After driving their friends home after a night of fun, Paul surprised Casey by going in for a kiss at the end of the night. The rest is history. Together they have two children, Charlie and Leo, who loved being in front of the camera. The images speak for themselves – but the love was apparent among them all.
The clouds threatened rain for most of the day. Miraculously the sun made a surprise appearance during the ceremony and only tiny amounts of sprinkles were felt during the reception.
The bride and her bridesmaids got ready in one of the lodges – accompanied by her 2 kids. The groom and his groomsmen also got ready in a separate lodge. Charlie and Leo gladly helped mommy in donning her jewelry.
After hair and makeup were done, the time began to fly by. Anticipation grew as everyone readied themselves for the ceremony. The bridesmaids held onto their beautiful wood flower bouquets and watched.anxiously.
Once the time came, Casey began to walk down the isle. Paul looked as his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. Charlie watched with him and clung to her father as his eyes began to swell with tears.
The ceremony continued with Paul and Casey professing their love for each other and there was not a dry eye among anyone. Charlie smiled in approval at their marriage. After the ceremony Paul twirled his new bride as they danced together.
After the ceremony, Leo managed to remove his pants and make a mess all over himself. The children soon started getting tired and Paul rocked Charlie to sleep in his arms. The food truck that served the meal was the Vegan Van – as the name entails they served all vegan food. I must say – I haven’t had a burger that good in a very long time!
After the meal came the dancing, following by sparklers and smoke bombs.
After beautiful sparklers lighting up the night sky, smoke bombs were brought in. The bride and groom helped each other get into a classy dip pose as their friends lit the smoke bombs. After the classy photo was taken, the couple was sabotaged by their friends who engulfed them with smoke intentionally and caused Paul and Casey to go running.
This beautiful day ended with Paul and Casey walking off together hand-in-hand towards the remnants of the smoke and into the new life together as man and wife.
